Recreation Scholarship Fund

San Francisco Recreation and Park Department now offers assistance to eligible San Francisco residents through its Recreation Scholarship Fund. Families earning up to $38,343 annually may be eligible for scholarships. To find out if you are eligible and to participate in the scholarship program, please call (415) 831-6800 or come to McLaren Lodge Annex, 501 Stanyan Street, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST, excluding holidays. Please bring a photo ID, proof of residency such as a utility bill and one of the following documents: prior year federal income tax return, MediCal card, California food stamp debit card, or written certification from the San Francisco Unified School District of eligibility for free and reduced lunch. Scholarship participants only need to qualify once per year. Once you have qualified and received a Recreation Scholarship, you can register for courses in person and/or online at sfRecOnline.org and receive the scholarship rate.

Recreation and Parks is grateful for the tremendous support of Mayor Gavin Newsom, the Recreation and Park Commission, the San Francisco Parks Trust and our many other friends for enabling us to offer access to all San Franciscans to our recreation activities through the Recreation Scholarship Program.
